Le Day of Endings

Friday was my Day of Endings. I had my last day at work and then ran off to finish my National Novel Writing Month novel which I uploaded around 2.5 hours before the deadline. The last week of November was one of the hardest. I got sick again with a mutant earache and was very stressed about finishing everything, being broke and mostly about what will happen after this month. But once Friday hit so did Zen. I finished everything with ease and I felt like something new was about to begin. I even got a lovely text message from a Kind Soul that commemorated the ending:

I am so proud of you..congrats, not just this month but overcoming every obstacle that has come across your path with grace.

I decided to take Saturday for myself and celebrate this new phase. I woke up to find out that I was getting a manicure and massage as an early holiday present, which was perfect. After the pampering, I continued my day by going to the Guggenheim Museum, doing some holiday shopping and then rounding it off with a Thank God it's Over Party in the Financial District. I loved going all over the city and just enjoying it.

Today is the first day of snow in New York City and it's fab, but of course I would say that considering I haven't been outside yet. I am off to Brooklyn today and then off to Munich on Tuesday to see my family and friends after five months. I am very excited and trying not to worry about what happens afterwards. Hopefully this new phase will be a good one. By the way this weekend has been going, it sure looks like it.

Love,
Breens

Le Goodbye and Scrubs

It is sad when you have to say goodbye to someone in your life, especially when that person feels like an angel and soul mate. According to my Angel Meditation cards he is my angel of tenderness:

Tenderness-the soft breeze on the meadow, an opening bud, a hand that fnds the perfect gesture, the touch that heals, the gaze of pure understanding with no strings attached. In our lives tenderness is the natural flow of our actions because the Soul has dissolved all fear of being.

The description fits. According to the alleged all-knowing cards, I am his angel of healing:

The real source of healing is the "Inner Sun" that radiates through our bodies with its qualities of love and synthesis, uplifting our vibrations and cleansing the environment around us. True healing is to know that we are one with God.

Last night I finally DJed again after a 7-month break. I was really nervous until I got started and then I was simply in my happy place. I loved that I got to mix genres; Madonna with Ella Fitzgerald with the Thievery Corporation. I think I'm back to DJing again.

Last night I also learned that drinking is evil and I have been paying for my sins all day. The only thing that helped my hangover was cola and Scrubs.

I hope you had a lovely weekend. I leave you with my latest obsession song.

Love,
Breens

All Good Things
Nelly Furtado

Honestly what will become of me
don't like reality
It's way too clear to me
But really life is daily
We are what we don't see
Missed everything daydreaming

[Chorus]
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?

Traveling I only stop at exits
Wondering if I'll stay
Young and restless
Living this way I stress less
I want to pull away when the dream dies
The pain sets in and I don't cry
I only feel gravity and I wonder why

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
[ these lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?

Well the dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Dogs were whistling a new tune
Barking at the new moon
Hoping it would come soon so that they could
Die die die die die

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to end?
come to an end come to an
Why do all good things come to an end?

Well the dogs were barking at a new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon
And the sun was wondering if it should stay away for a day til the feeling went away
And the sky was falling on the clouds were dropping and
the rain forgot how to bring salvation
the dogs were barking at the new moon
Whistling a new tune
Hoping it would come soon so that they could die.

Le Emo

I've been told I can be, like, a little emo, but I just think I have the right to, like feel. In case you're not, like, 15 and don't know what emo means, here is a definition:

The term "emo" has also been used in recent years on the Internet as a form of insult, especially toward those who appear emotionally unstable, or those who talk about issues in their personal lives to people in public forums or chat rooms. Similar to popular profanity, it tends to be used as a general insult even when it is not directly applicable. Phrases such as "cheer up, emo kid" are used frequently as a quick brush-off in this context. Some people use the term "emo" to describe a feeling of depression, alluding to the association of depression with the "emo" subculture. [Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_%28slang%29]

It's something all the cool people are saying, so you should know it. So you're not made fun of by like, teenagers and stuff.
